Privacy review & updates
Privacy Notice under ongoing legal and operational review
Updated periodically to reflect our services, information practices, technology and applicable privacy requirements.
This is OLADAY’s current Privacy Notice. It explains how OLADAY collects, uses, protects, shares and manages personal information across our website, customer application and related services.
This Notice is maintained under ongoing review and may be updated from time to time as our services, technology, information practices and applicable legal or regulatory requirements develop.
01 · Section
Who we are
OLADAY EXPRESS LOGISTICS LTD ("OLADAY", "we", "us") operates OLADAY's logistics website, customer application and related services. Questions about this Notice or a privacy request may be sent to [email protected].
02 · Section
Scope
This Notice explains the current information practices supporting accounts, guest access, quotations, bookings, delivery, tracking, payments, customer support, security and the existing Campaign foundation. It does not claim that future Campaign delivery channels or targeting systems are live.
03 · Section
Information we handle
Depending on how you use OLADAY, we may handle:
- name, account and contact information;
- pickup, delivery and authorised-recipient details;
- booking, item, route, vehicle, quotation, payment-reference and transaction information;
- location supplied for a service or permitted through the device;
- support, complaint, claim, review and operational evidence;
- device, installation, request-signing, security, session and fraud-prevention identifiers;
- notification-permission state and independently recorded marketing preferences;
- Campaign availability, render, open, dismissal, conversion and attribution evidence.
04 · Section
Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts and services; calculate or review quotations; arrange and monitor movement; process and evidence payments; communicate operational updates; support customers; prevent abuse; comply with law; improve reliability; and operate customer-controlled Campaign functions.
05 · Section
Guest access and general in-app Campaigns
A person may browse parts of OLADAY without an account. A verified installation may receive general, non-personalized in-app service discovery or promotional content. Installation identifiers may support security, eligibility, frequency, dismissal, fraud prevention and measurement. They do not by themselves create a customer account or marketing consent.
06 · Section
Account and personalized Campaigns
Where enabled under the applicable Campaign gates and customer preference, registered customers may receive account-owned in-app Campaigns using lawful account information such as service category, booking history, Campaign history and promotional eligibility. Current Campaign gates and preferences remain server-authoritative.
07 · Section
Operational and promotional communications
Account verification, quotation, booking, payment, driver assignment, pickup, tracking, delivery, delay, security, claim and material service messages are operational communications. Promotional communications are separate. iOS notification permission is optional and does not by itself authorize promotional push. Promotional APNs and marketing email are not claimed as live by this Notice and require their own approved controls before activation.
08 · Section
Marketing choices
Marketing preferences are stored separately from acceptance of the Terms and acknowledgement of this Notice. Creating an account does not silently grant a marketing preference. Where marketing controls are available, a customer may change or withdraw them without stopping essential account, booking, payment, security, tracking, delivery or legal communications.
09 · Section
Sharing and processors
We may give limited access to service providers and partners that support hosting, security, maps and routing, payment processing, communications, analytics, customer support, storage, delivery or legal compliance. Access must be limited to the relevant purpose. We may also disclose information where law requires it or to protect customers, OLADAY or others.
10 · Section
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the service, account, evidence, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, legal and regulatory purpose involved. Different records may have different retention periods. Append-only evidence may be retained to demonstrate what occurred and which document or preference applied.
11 · Section
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards including installation verification, request signing, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely risk-free. Customers should protect their credentials and use official OLADAY channels.
12 · Section
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask about, access, correct or delete personal information; object to or restrict some processing; withdraw a consent where consent is the basis; and complain to a competent regulator. A request may require identity verification. Withdrawing a marketing choice does not undo lawful earlier processing or prevent essential service messages.
13 · Section
Location and device permissions
Location and iOS notification permissions are separate choices managed through the application and device settings. General in-app discovery does not require precise location unless a feature genuinely needs it.
14 · Section
Children
OLADAY services are not intended to be used by a person who cannot lawfully enter the relevant service agreement. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child's information was provided improperly.
15 · Section
Updates
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, information practices, operational requirements, legal obligations or applicable data-protection requirements.
The current version of this Notice will be made available through the OLADAY Platform. Customers are encouraged to review it periodically to remain informed about how OLADAY handles personal information.
Where a change materially affects how personal information is collected, used, shared or otherwise processed, OLADAY may provide additional notice through the Platform or another appropriate communication channel where appropriate or required by applicable law.
Where a specific version of this Notice is presented in connection with account creation, acknowledgement or another recorded customer action, OLADAY may retain evidence of the version presented and the relevant acknowledgement for legal, regulatory, security and audit purposes.
